With the Colorado Convention Center hosting it's first ever Outdoor Retailer Show this week, all eyes are on the city of Denver and the show organizers. Leaving the industry on their toes, anxiously waiting for the show to start, this Thursday, January 25th.

There have been non-stop predictions for the future of this show, ever since the decision to move the show from it's home for the past 20 years, Salt Lake City, Utah was finalized early last year. Talk of industry advocates, using this time as an opportunity to keep the political conversation alive and in hopes to protect public lands, water, and climate. With the scaling back of large Utah National Monuments by the Trump Administration, there's speculation that a large push to inspire those outdoor loving shopowners/ vendors to take political action will take place on the show floor.

There is so much passion in this industry, and the challenges they are facing are bringing the community closer than ever before. The vendors who will be competing against each other on the show floor will be working together. Which will be an incredible thing to see.
