Nike Opens Its First Women's Store in Newport, CA

Last week, Nike made a huge impact on the Fashion Island shopping center by opening a 6,000 square-foot women's-only store. The store features all of its premium products using gorgeous displays in the spacious new location. 

What sets this store apart from Nike's other locations is not only its focus on women's apparel, but also that it includes an in-store studio for group and/or personal fitness classes. The studio also allows customers to test out products. Nike wanted to make these special services available to the residents of Newport as it is known for its active community.

Nike plans to open its second women's-only store in Shanghai, China later this week. These stores target women to serve the brand's growing female followers who are dedicated to training, running, and athletics.
