Amazon as a physical store? Get out!

The first store has officially opened in Indiana, on the Purdue University Campus. The store was supposedly going to open in Manhattan, instead, Amazon has decided to preserve that space for their offices. The staffed retail space is meant for customers to pick up and drop off packages with the target market being students who Amazon believes will be ordering “textbooks and other college essentials”. They also hope this will increase their number of prime members. There are hints of more stores to come soon, in California and Massachusetts.
